Xiaomi is readying the successor to its highly successful and acclaimed Redmi Note 4 in the form of the Redmi Note 5. The Note 4 is one of the most successful devices launched by the Chinese phone maker and the company is now on its way to increase the lineup.
The Redmi series is an interesting combination of affordability with reasonable specifications along with justifying performance. Latest leaks from China have revealed information about the upcoming Note 5.
The handset will come with a 5.5 inches Full HD display and run on Android Nougat 7.1.1 on MIUI 9. It will be powered either by the Snapdragon 630 processor or the Snapdragon 660 processor. And it will have three versions with respect to RAM and storage – one with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, another with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and the third with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. All three versions will likely be expandable up to 256 GB. The prices will be around USD 176, USD 205 and USD 220, in that order.
The battery is said to be a 3,790mAh unit which is actually smaller than the 4,000mAh battery in the Redmi Note 4. However, the phone will have the usefulness of fast charging.
