Xiaomi’s latest flagship – the Mi8 is said to be launched on 31st of May along with Mi Band 3, Fitness Tracker and the all new MIUI 10. But it seems that the company still has some devices in the pipeline. If a new report is to be believed, an upgraded variant of Mi8 – the Xiaomi Mi8 SE will also join the group at launch.
The report has been surfaced at Weibo – Chinese microblogging website. According to the report, the Xiaomi Mi8 SE will the limited edition of Mi8. Unfortunately, hardware details are yet-to-be-revealed but it is expected that the Xiaomi Mi8 SE might be a toned-down variant of Mi8.
To recall, the Xiaomi Mi8 is built around a 6.2 inch full HD+ IPS LCD display with 2280×1080 pixels of resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Powered by Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 845, the handset might come in two variants – 6GB of RAM with 128GB of ROM and 8GB of RAM with 128GB of ROM.
The Xiaomi Mi8 features dual rear camera – 20 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture and 16 megapixels with f/1.7 aperture. The handset also has a 16 megapixels front facing camera with f/1.7 aperture. Further, running on Android 8.1 Oreo, the handset is backed by a 3,300 mAh battery.
