Ask anyone which is the most popular tablet in the world? The answer, without a shadow of doubt, would be an iPad. This big-screen wonder from Apple is the most successful form of tablet ever. No wonder the Cupertino giant rules the tablet market irrespective of segment or country.
The success of iPad is a huge challenge for other companies to undertake, and perhaps, it is motivating as well since there is a clear demand for these devices. On that note, Xiaomi has finally launched its anticipated Mi Pad 4 tablet at a price of CNY 1,099 (which roughly translates to INR Rs 11,500 and USD $ 169).
Impressive price indeed, but what about the specs?
Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 – Specs and Features
Xiaomi’s newest tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor, which is Qualcomm’s impressive mid-range chipset, clocked at an impressive 2.2 GHz. This octa-core chipset is further coupled with the options of 3 GB or 4 GB RAM along with 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage respectively. The storage is expandable, of course.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 carries an 8-inch IPS LCD display delivering 1920p x 1200p resolution. The aspect ratio is 16:10 with 283 ppi which should deliver pretty sharp imagery for a tablet.
On the camera front, it seems that the craze of dual camera hasn’t yet infected tablets yet. There’s a single 13 MP camera at the back with the aperture size of f2.0 (good enough for a tablet). At the front, there’s a 5 MP camera module which also has the same f2.0 aperture size. Overall, it is a pretty straightforward setup with no fancy tech or nomenclature involved.
Perhaps the most impressive hardware feature of the latest Xiaomi tablet is the generous 6,000 mAh battery. Furthermore, the Mi Pad 4 has been launched in two variants – Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi 4G LTE. Along with the inbuilt storage options, overall, there are following variants of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 to choose from:
Wi-Fi version with 3 GB RAM / 32 GB storage – CNY 1099 (roughly Rs 11,500)
Wi-Fi version with 4 GB RAM / 64 GB storage – CNY 1399 (roughly Rs 14,633)
Wi-Fi plus LTE version with 4 GB RAM / 64 GB storage – CNY 1499 (roughly Rs 15,680)
