Xiaomi loves being in the news; earlier today, we reported that the Chinese company has struck a business deal with Nokia. And now, there is an update about the successor of its Mi Mix smartphone.
The Mi series consists of the high-end handsets from Xiaomi. The Mi Mix which was launched last year was powered by the Snapdragon 821 and 6 GB of RAM. However, there is a device mentioned by the name Xiaomi Mix which has appeared on Geekbench. In all likeliness, it is going to be the Mi Mix 2.
The screenshot of the Geekbench reveals that the handset runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 and gets power from the Snapdragon 835 processor while the RAM is unchanged from its predecessor at 6 GB. The alleged device went on to score 1929 points for single-core performance and 6431 points for multi-core performance, figures that may not necessarily set the competition on fire.
What this appearance does tell is that the launch may not be far away. In general, there is going to be a lot of action in the mobile phone industry in the remaining months of 2017 with Samsung and Apple also launching their highly anticipated next level flagship models. It is speculated that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will arrive alongside Xiaomi Mi Note 3.
