While Xiaomi is yet to release the Mi A2 (Mi 6X) in the Asian market, we have started hearing rumors of a toned-down variant of this handset. Called Mi A2 Lite, the handset was previously spotted online. Now, this handset has been found listed on AliExpress – the much popular e-commerce website. The smartphone is expected to be launched alongside the Mi A2 on the 24th of July.

According to the listing, the Mi A2 Lite will be launched in two variants: 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM priced at $189.99 (approx. INR 12,988) and $202.99 (approx. INR 14,355) respectively.

The Mi A2 Lite is built around a 5.84-inch full HD+ display with 2280×1080 pixels of resolution, the notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. Powering the handset is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 graphics processing unit. The internal storage of this handset can be expanded up to 256GB via MicroSD.
Coming to the imaging department, the Mi A2 Lite features a dual rear camera setup – 12MP + 5MP. For selfies and video calling, it has a 5 megapixels front-facing shooter. Its imaging department is powered by AI including AI Portrait and AI beautification.
Running on Android 8.1 Oreo, the Mi A2 Lite features a fingerprint sensor on the rear. On the connectivity front, it has a dedicated MicroSD slot, micro USB, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth v4.2 and 4G with VoLTE. Further, backed by a 4000 mAh battery, it measures 149.33×71.67×8.75mm in dimensions.
