Couple of weeks ago, we told you that Xiaomi is planning to launch the Xiaomi Mi A2 (Mi 6X) – the successor of Xiaomi Mi A1 (Mi 5X). However, at that time, we didn’t have detailed information on the launch date or specifications but now, the new report emerging from China has given us all. Xiaomi is prepping an even on 25th April in China where the Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to be launched. After launch in China, the handset will be launched in India in May.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 is reportedly said to be launched in three variants – 4GB RAM with 32GB of ROM, 6GB RAM with 64GB of ROM and 6GB RAM with 128GB of ROM. The newcomer is said to be launched in India along with Redmi Y2 – the successor of Redmi Y1.
Talking about specifications, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is built around an 18:9 aspect ratio-equipped 5.99 inch LCD display with 2160x1080px of resolution. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660, the same processor which is powering Nokia 7 Plus. Anyway, the processor is clocked at 2.0GHz.
Coming to the camera set, the handset features a combo of 12MP (Sony IMX486, f/1.8 lens aperture) and 20MP (Sony IMX376, f/1.8 lens aperture) shooters on the rear; while a 20MP (Sony IMX376, f/2.2 lens aperture) sensor is placed at the front with flash. It supports 4K recording.
Running on MIUI (based on Android 8.1 Oreo), the Xiaomi Mi A2 is 165mm tall and 7.3mm thick. Further, the smartphone is backed by a 2,910 mAh battery with fast charging technology.
