Earlier on 31st May, Xiaomi launched Mi 8 SE which was the first device to come with Snapdragon 710 SoC. There were many thoughts that the lite version of the device also might come sooner. Now according to rumors a slightly bigger device is coming named as Mi 8 Youth which is a young generation centric device aimed at youths who love to take selfies as it has an impressive 24 MP Selfie camera.
The specs sheet of the alleged device appeared on Weibo, suggesting The Mi 8 Youth will have a 6.26-inch display with Snapdragon 710 processor. Further, the device will have a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels, which means a 19:9 ratio and a notch on the top of the display. The phone will have 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. The Mi 8 Youth will have a dual camera that is of 12+2 MP or 12+5 MP sensor depending upon the company’s preferences. The selfie camera will have a whopping 24 MP sensor that means Mi 8 Youth might be targeted to young people who like to take selfies.
The battery is 3,350 mAh on the device and since the phone is having a Snapdragon 710 chipset, Quick Charge 3.0 will likely be available in the device. The OS and UI are not listed on the sheet but it might be MIUI 9.6 or MIUI 10 obviously based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
All the specs are in line with a TENAA listing that appeared today. The model number of the Xiaomi device is M1808D2TE. The images are yet to appear, but once they are out, we will get to know how the new device will look like.
