Even though Xiaomi’s flagship series (Mi series) don’t do that well in the market, the company doesn’t seem to be giving up on it. The Chinese consumer electronics giant has released a new poster in which the number “7” is mentioned along with a date of 23rd May. Many reports have claimed that this poster hints at the launch of Xiaomi’s new flagship – the Xiaomi Mi 7 on 23rd of May.
Previous leaks have confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be the world’s first Android smartphone to come with 3D sensing technology. For unawares, “3D sensing is a depth-sensing technology that augments camera capabilities for facial and objects recognition in augmented reality, gaming, autonomous driving and a wide range of applications.” Additionally, the Xiaomi’s founder – Lei Jun has already confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with the under-display fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi Mi 7 Specifications and Features
The Xiaomi Mi 7 is built around a 5.6-inch display which has 1440x2880px of resolution. The handset is said to be powered by Xiaomi’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with Adreno 630 Graphics Processing Unit.
The smartphone will come in two variants – 6GB RAM with 64GB ROM and 8GB RAM with 128GB ROM. Internal storage of both variants is non-expandable. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based MIUI 9.5 and is backed by a 4,480 mAh non-removable battery.
The Xiaomi Mi 7 features dual rear camera setup – two 16 megapixels sensors with dual LED dual-tone LED flash; whereas a 13 megapixels shooter is placed at the front for selfies and video calling.
