Xiaomi may not be Working on Redmi Pro 2 at all, will Bring New Series X1
Until very recently it was almost certain that Xiaomi is working on bringing the Redmi Pro 2 to reality with a large 6-inch Full HD screen and the Snapdragon 630 processor. However, all this may not be true anymore as per the latest reports.
Instead, the Chinese company is said to be concentrating its efforts on a new mobile series X and the X1 is supposedly going to be its first smartphone under the same. Apparently, Xiaomi produces its high-end phones under the Mi name while its mid-range devices are produced under the Redmi name. The X is going to be a new category altogether.

According to the reports, there are going to be two versions of the supposedly X1 device – one with a screen dominant display and the other with a more conventional screen to body ratio.

The version with the screen dominant display will come with a 5.5-inch screen with a 1080p display and powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor and either 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. In fact, Xiaomi may have two RAM variants of the 5.5-inch screen variant with 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage combination and the other with 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage combination. It will also have a dual camera setup at the back which is becoming the most adopted latest technology nowadays. The starting price is speculated to be at $339 for the 4 GB version while the 6 GB version will come at $412.
On the other hand, the regular-screen-to-body-ratio version will also have a Full HD display and the same Snapdragon 660 processor as well.
