Whenever a device gets the FCC Certification, that means whatever specifications are mentioned in the certificate are true. However, not all specifications of interest can be there in the documentation. In this case, the Xiaomi 5X has been certified by the FCC for its battery specification which is 3,000mAh (and to be charged by a 10W adapter).
While it is an important piece of information and the given battery should ensure good life, the Certification doesn’t reveal anything else. Yet, what is believed is that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 625 processor with 4 GB of RAM. There is no word on the storage capacity yet.
Also, the screen is likely going to pack 5.5 inches Full HD display. The handset will run Android 7.1.1 and have a USB-C port for charging and data sharing purposes. There is also a possibility of a more powerful variant of 5X with the Snapdragon 660 onboard.
The launch is scheduled for July 26. Keep watching this space as we bring more updates on this.
