Making a bold move, HTC has launched the world’s first Blockchain-powered smartphone – the HTC Exodus 1. This is the latest flagship from HTC and comes with Zion cryptocurrency wallet. Not only this, this smartphone can be used to mine cryptocurrencies.

The handset is priced at 0.15 Bitcoins (approx. 4.78 Ethereum or ₹75,000). The handset is now available for pre-order and is officially said to be shipped from December 2018. Unfortunately, we have no information when this handset is going to be launched in India.

Talking about the highlights, the smartphone comes with semi-transparent back design; much like the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. Anyway, talking about other specifications, the handset is IP68 certified and is built around a 6 inches QHD+ IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass.
Under the hood of the HTC Exodus 1 is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. Unfortunately, there is a MicroSD slot for storage expansion. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo operating system along with a custom skin.
Coming to the imaging department, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup comprised of 16MP and 12MP with 4K recording capability, portrait mode, and other camera features. The handset also features a dual front-facing camera setup comprised of two 8MP sensors.
The HTC Exodus 1 has HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation feature as well as HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition for the better sound experience. It comes with single nano-SIM slot, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 and 4G with VoLTE in connectivity options. Further, the handset is backed by a 3,500 mAh battery which supports HTC Rapid Charge 3.0 through USB Type-C.
