Flip phones are a passé? Maybe, but definitely not for Samsung as the company is looking to introduce another clamshell device W2018 in the not-so-distant future. We mentioned ‘another’ because the South Korean company launched W2017 last year and the new handset is said to be a more powerful version of the same.
A major highlight of the phone is the dual screen setup, which means, that besides the primary screen (at the inside of the clamshell), there will be a similar screen on the outside as well. Apparently, both screens will have 4.2 inches of display delivering the resolution of 1080p.
When it comes to the processing power, it is almost certain that the handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 821 processor. However, this is up for argument as some sources close to the company believe that W2018 could actually come with the Snapdragon 835 with all guns blazing. What is certain is that the device will not be a mid-ranger, but more of a flagship.

If that happens (Snapdragon 835), it would likely be paired with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which is an ideal combination in an Android flagship today. Otherwise, consider 4 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of storage as the final ingredients of the overall specifications.
But there is disappointment that the operating system will be the Android Marshmallow and not the Nougat. People who prefer phones with a difference but with latest specifications would be reasonably dissatisfied with the choice of OS in this case.
On the camera front, the rear and front will be 12 mega-pixel and 5 mega-pixel units respectively. Lastly, running time will be provided by a 2,300mAh battery.
