Couple of hours back, we posted a news regarding the recall of Samsung Note 7 (due to battery explosion) and launch of refurbished Note 7. Now, we have got our hands on some information that reveals serious manufacturing defect in Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
Several users at Samsung’s US community forum have complained that the sound is automatically turned off when playing music, watching YouTube videos, playing games or running other applications.
At Samsung’s US community forum, this issue is considered a circuit-related hardware issue; means it can’t be fixed with software update. Several users reported that pressing 2 inches above the speaker holes turns the speaker on; and if they press again, the speaker is turned off. This hints us that this is really a hardware related issue.
While Samsung’s forum is claiming this issue to be a hardware issue, Samsung considers (according to PhoneArena) it as a software-related issue and refused to replace the defected Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus with new unit.
Further, we are still yet to hear any official words from Samsung related to this issue. We will update it if we get our hands on anything new. So, stay tuned.
