The upcoming Lite version of Samsung’s Galaxy S8 has been in news for quite some time. Now, in a bit of a surprise, the said smartphone is to be unveiled today, May 21, in China. Known earlier as the Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite, it will finally be unveiled as Galaxy S Lite Luxury. The confirmation comes through the official Samsung invite that the company sent out in China.
The Galaxy S Lite Luxury was previously leaked in a number of images in what the company calls Burgundy Red and Black colors. The display size is supposedly the same 5.8 inches, however, the resolution will be downgraded to Full HD+ (1080p x 2220p). It is expected to be Super AMOLED.
The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor and it will be paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. There will be single camera at the back with a 16 MP lens while the front will get an 8 MP unit.
The fingerprint sensor will be at the awkward position (at the right of the camera module). Lastly, there will be a 3,000 mAh battery onboard and the operating system will be the Android Oreo 8.0.
