0 616

The Note series of Samsung has always been its most tech laden one. The South Korean company literally throws everything from its tech catalogue in every new Note handset. With little doubt, there’s much anticipation regarding the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 which is scheduled to be unveiled on August 2.

Samsung has also started pre-marketing of its next Note flagship through a variety of advertisements. What we can take away from the pre-launch buzz is that the Note 9 will most certainly sport a larger display than the Note 8 (which means it could be around 6.5 inches or so since Note 8 has a 6.3-inch display).

However, it seems that the most important specifications of Note 9 have been leaked ahead of its August 2 unveil. This could be another way of generating interest around it though.

As far as the processing power is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will come with the Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with the minimum of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The Snapdragon 845 should be for the American markets while the European and Asian markets shall get the Exynos 9810 powered Note 9. Also, there is said to be an 8 GB RAM option as well which shall have two storage options – 256 GB and 512 GB. That’s plenty enough in a mobile phone for virtually all kinds of stuff.

Coming to the display, like we said, it is likely to be slightly larger than the Note 8’s screen and it shall come with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio (this is similar to the Note 8) along with the curved infinity display design. Furthermore, the display is expected to offer improved sunlight legibility for better outdoor usage.

Camera alignment will remain same as on the Note 8, which means horizontal stacked dual camera setup at the back. But we do expect that the fingerprint sensor will be located below the camera module (more towards the center) for better accessibility with both hands.

Elaborating more on the camera, it shall have improved ISOCELL and OIS functionality for overall improved performance especially in lowlight. Lastly, the battery is said to be larger as well at 4,000 mAh compared to Note 8’s 3,300 mAh unit.

Nevertheless, come August 2, we will know how much of the leaked specifications stand true. Keep watching this space for more information on this.
