Samsung has launched a new budget smartphone in India – the Samsung Galaxy J2, according to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom. The retailer also confirmed that the handset is now available through offline sales for a price of ₹9,990. As of now, the handset is not listed on any e-commerce portal in India.
Samsung Galaxy J2 Specifications and Features
Built around a 5.5 inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280×720 pixels of resolution, the Samsung Galaxy J2 is powered by a quad-core Exynos 7570 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T720 MP1 graphics processing unit. The handset also comes with 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB using MicroSD. Additionally, Samsung is offering 15GB free cloud storage on Samsung Cloud.
Talking about camera, the Samsung Galaxy J2 features a 13 megapixels shooter on the rear and a 5 megapixels shooter at the front. Both shooters are coupled with an LED flash. The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and comes with two sensors – accelerometer and Proximity.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 has 4G LTE, 3.5mm audio jack, dual SIM connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n in connectivity options. It measures 151.7×77.2×8.1mm in dimensions and weighs 175 grams. Further, it is backed by a 3000 mAh battery which will offer 20 hours of talk-time.
