Soon after the launch of Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A, we started hearing about one more device which was allegedly called Redmi 6 Pro. Later, Xiaomi officially confirmed the existence of this handset. Now, giving an end to those leaks and rumors, the company has officially launched this handset.
Redmi 6 Pro Price and Availability
The Redmi 6 Pro has been launched in two variants: 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM. The 3GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 999 (approx. ₹10,450) whereas the 4GB RAM variant comes with a price tag of CNY 1,299 (approx. ₹13,590). The handset comes in four colors: Lake Blue, Stone Black, Sand Gold and Rose Gold.
Both variants will be available to purchase from tomorrow (26th June) in China. As of now, we have no official information from Xiaomi regarding launch of this handset in India but we expect the company to push it in Indian market pretty soon.
Redmi 6 Pro Specifications and Features
Built around a 5.84 inch full HD+ display with notch (can be hidden) and 19:9 aspect ratio, the Redmi 6 Pro comes with a metallic rear panel where the fingerprint sensor is placed. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor.
Talking about camera, the Redmi 6 Pro has a combo of 12MP and 5MP shooters on the rear. The handset also features a 5 megapixels front-facing camera. Cameras are powered by AI (artificial intelligence). The handset offers face unlocking feature which is also powered by AI.
Running on Android 8.1-based MIUI 9, the Redmi 6 Pro is probably the very first Xiaomi-branded handset to come with a dedicated Micro-SD slot. Connectivity options on this handset include Wi-Fi 802.11 n, 4G with VoLTE, 3.5mm Audio Jack, IR Remote Control and Bluetooth.
