Razer Phone is said to be the first phone to start a whole new category of gaming smartphones which came last year. This brings the trend of gaming smartphones with the launch of several other gaming phones such as AUS ROG phone, Nubia Red Magic, Xiaomi Black Shark, Honor Play and Poco F1.
Razer is now working on the sequel, The Razer Phone 2 and already, press invites are sent out for an event to be held on October 10. Ahead of its event, Razer has listed the model on the Google Play Console which hints us that the device may have been certified by Google Play.
The Play Console listing which is shown in the picture below has the device codenamed as Aura. The last year’s model was codenamed as “Cheryl”.
Razer Phone 2 specifications:
Talking about the specifications of Razer phone 2, the device will have 8 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with Adreno 540 GPU. The Razer Phone 2 is expected to be having a Snapdragon 845 chipset with the Adreno 630 GPU. It could be an error as this is very unusual for a high-end device to be listed on Play Console and carry an older Snapdragon 835 chipset. The Razer Phone 2 is expected to have the same 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution which is the same as the first-gen model’s screen resolution. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. Also, there are rumors that the device will pack a Chroma LED effects for notification. That’s it for the specification and we will keep a watch on the Razer phone 2 and will update you with that.
