Following the very recent unveil of the R11 smartphone by Oppo, it seems that the bigger version of the phone, dubbed R11 Plus, is on its way too.
The phone has appeared on the website of Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center and sports a larger 6-inch display but with the same 1080p resolution. It also gets a larger 3,880mAh battery (with VOOC fast charging technology) compared to R11’s 2,900mAh unit. The processor remains the same with Snapdragon 660, however, it gets 6 GB of RAM to run things better on the larger screen. The internal storage stands at 64 GB.
The phone design and color options remain same as well from R11. The 20 mega-pixel dual camera at the back and the single-lens 20 mega-pixel front camera are also carried over to the R11 Plus. Of course, the biggest talking point of the camera is the now-trendy portrait mode or the telephoto mode. How good of a bokeh effect it creates will depend entirely on Oppo’s ability to programme the software to achieve that.
Lastly, Oppo has given a miss to the universal USB-C port and, instead, opted for the traditional microUSB port for the charging and data transfer duties. The reason for this is said to be the incompatibility of the VOOC fast charging technology with the USB-C.
The R11 Plus is likely to be priced at INR 3,000 to 4,000 higher than the R11, which means it could be priced around Rs 33,000 to Rs 34,000 when it lands our shores given that the R11 will be near about Rs 30,000.
