Oppo K1 has been in the leaks since last month and we have seen several reports emerging from different parts of the world. Then we got our hands on official information which revealed that the handset will be launched on the 10th of October aka today. But it seems that the company doesn’t want their potential buyers to wait for the launch as it has listed the handset for pre-order ahead of the launch.
The Oppo K1 is listed in two variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM with 64GB ROM priced at 1,599 Yuan (approx. ₹17,000) and 1,799 Yuan (approx. ₹19,000) respectively. The company is offering 20 Yuan discount for those who will pre-order. Unfortunately, as of now, we don’t know when this handset will be launched in India.
Oppo K1 Specifications and Features
Starting with what’s interesting, the Oppo K1 comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Said to be available in two color options – Mocha Red and Van Gogh Blue, the handset features a 6.4 inches full HD+ AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio, Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection, and a notch.
Under the hood of the Oppo K1 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC which packs an octa-core processor. Talking about the imaging department, it features a dual rear camera setup comprised of 16MP and 2MP sensors. The handset also features a 25 megapixels front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
Further, running on Android Oreo-based Oppo own skin, the Oppo K1 is backed by a 3,500 mAh battery.
