As promised, Oppo has launched the most anticipated flagship in China – the Oppo Find X. And yes, it is futuristic. When you look at the device, you’re looking at the future. There is no notch, no weird cutouts; it has all-screen display. Yes, you read it right. The entire front is display with 93.8% screen-to-body ratio.
Oppo Find X Price and Availability
The Oppo Find X comes in three variants: 128GB ROM, 256GB ROM and special Lamborghini Edition with 512GB ROM. While the 128GB ROM is priced at CNY 4,999 and comes with standard VOOC flash charger, the 256GB ROM and 512GB Lamborghini are priced at CNY 5,999 and CNY 9,999 respectively. Both the 256GB and 512GB ROM variants come with SuperVOOC flash charging tech that can fully charge a 2,500 mAh battery in just 15 minutes.
Oppo Find X Features and Specifications
The Oppo Find X is built around a 6.5 inch Full HD+ OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. This is the world’s first smartphone to come with 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. The entire front is just a display expect the bottom where we can see small chin.
Now talking about the futuristic features, the Oppo Find X has a slider at its top which has exact same size as its width. The slider, which pops up in just 0.5 seconds, not only reveals the dual rear cameras with LED flash but the front camera and 3D sensors too for selfies and unlocking the handset respectively. Oppo has named the entire mechanism as “stealth 3D cameras”.
Talking about the front camera first which is the also one of the attraction points, it is a 25 megapixels sensor with multiple 3D portrait lighting features and Omoji (Oppo’s own emoji creation feature similar to iPhone X). Coming to the back, it has dual 16MP + 20MP cameras with optical image stabilization and AI features.
The Oppo Find X is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor with 8GB of RAM. Means, there will be no issue whatsoever while playing any graphics rich games. The handset doesn’t come with fingerprint sensor instead it has O-Face (3D Face Unlock) feature which, according to Oppo, has a failure rate of 1/1,000,000 times compared to the fingerprint sensor which has a failure rate of 1/50,000 times.
The Oppo Find X runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 AI Smart UI which learns from users’ usage habits and show the preferred or most used apps accordingly. Further, the handset is backed by a 3,730 mAh battery and comes in two color options – Glacier Blue and Bordeaux Red. The Lamborghini variant, on the other hand, comes in Carbon Fiber Black color.
