Following the previous leaks about Nokia 9 with 4 GB and 8 GB of RAM, a third variant is now doing the rounds with 6 GB of RAM. The phone appeared on Geekbench with the model name TA-1004 and is strongly rumored to also come with 6 GB of RAM. We are yet to see any official confirmation about the same.
However, if this turns out to be true, which it could be, then we might see the Nokia 9 in three versions with 4 GB, 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM when it eventually hits the market.
Geekbench Scores With 6 GB RAM
The upcoming smartphone has been seen on Geekbench running on Android Nougat 7.1.1 and Snapdragon 835 processor. With 6 GB of RAM, its single-core and multi-core scores for Geekbench 3.4.1 are 2272 and 7714 respectively. Also, it will be pitted against all worthy competition powered by Snapdragon 835 when it comes to Geekbench 4. This is awaited.
While Nokia 9 with 4 GB of RAM has been referred as the “Heart”, the 6 GB version has been aptly called the “Unknown Heart”. In any case, the phone will come with Snapdragon 835.
Three Possible Versions
It is quite likely for Nokia 9 to become available in 4 GB and 6 GB versions, we are unsure of the likelihood of the 8 GB version simply because so much RAM could end up mostly underutilized in a phone. Also, the minimum internal storage provided will be 64 GB with the possibility of 128 GB as well. Realistically, we will not be surprised to see two version of Nokia 9, one with 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage and the other with 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage.
IP68 Certification and Dual Camera
For any high end smartphone today, having an exceptional build quality and fit-n-finish is a must have but things are stretching beyond. Being water and dust proof can be a bonus in many situations. Nokia 9 is speculated to come with IP68 certification which is currently considered the highest standard for water and dust proofing for phones.
Lastly, Nokia 9 is said to have a 13 mega-pixel dual camera at the back while the front will have a similar camera but with the conventional single lens. Keep watching this space as we bring you more news on this.
