New Launch: Blackberry KEYone announced in India at INR 39,990

In the ever competitive world of mobile phones, there are usually two kinds of manufacturers right now – one which is trying to incorporate the most cutting edge technology in design and performance, and the other which is trying to re-establish itself by adapting to the situation to the best of its abilities. Blackberry is the latter. The struggling Canadian smartphone maker has announced its latest offering, Blackberry KEYone, in India at a price of INR 39,990.

However, India has got the better version compared to some other markets. The KEYone here comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage compared to the 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage combination in the international market. Also, it is the Limited Edition Black which is, basically, an all-black color scheme.

Other than this, the handset runs on the Android Nougat 7.1.1 with Blackberry’s renowned security features and productivity suite. There’s the legendary physical keyboard which is said to be the best version of what the company has been offering on almost all of its smartphones so far. The keyboard also doubles up as a touchpad and can be used for navigating screens and web pages.

The display panel is 4.5-inch IPS LCD and throws a Full HD resolution. KEYone is powered by the Snapdragon 625 processor, a 12 MP main camera with an aperture of f2.0 and a front facing camera of MP. Running time is provided by a non-removable 3,505mAh battery.

While the announced has been made, the actual launch is scheduled on August 8. KEYone will be available exclusively on Amazon.
