Micromax Launches Affordable Smartphone with Infinity Display, Fingerprint Sensor, Face Unlock & Other Decent Specs

Gone are the days when Micromax was doing pretty well in Indian market. Now Xiaomi has taken its place by launching affordable phones but now, the Micromax is back with a new budget-friendly handset which has decent specifications for its price. Called Micromax Canvas 2 Plus, the smartphone has been launched in India with a price tag of ₹ 8,999. In this segment, its major competitor would be Honor 7C and RealMe 1.

Built around a 5.7 inch HD+ Infinity display, the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus comes with 720×1440 pixels of resolution. Under the hood of the handset is a quad-core processor (no words on chipset) coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB using MicroSD.

The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus features a 13 megapixels camera on the rear, whereas an 8 megapixels shooter is placed at the front for selfies and video calling. Running on Android Nougat, it supports 22 regional languages and comes with fingerprint sensor. The highlight of the handset is face unlocking feature.

Further, backed by a 4000 mAh battery, the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus comes with MicroUSB, dual-sim functionality, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G with VoLTE features in connectivity options.
