LG may not be as preferred as Samsung and Apple when it comes to high-end smartphones, but the company has made quite an impact since the launch of the impressive V30. LG has since introduced the V30S ThinQ, V35 ThinQ as well as V30+ (the one particular model that is available in India). And by the end of 2018, LG is likely to unveil the next-gen LG V40 ThinQ.
Now, latest renders reveal quite a bit about the upcoming V40 ThinQ in terms of design and hardware. The most interesting part in the renders is undoubtedly the presence of 5 total cameras – 3 at the back, 2 at the front. You’ve read that right!
Currently, there are no details about the camera specifications, but we would safely assume that one of the 3 lenses should be a wide-angle lens (which is already present in the LG V30) and it makes no sense to let it go. Furthermore, we would assume that the 3rd lens would be a telephoto lens. However, there’s also the possibility of it being a monochrome lens (black and white).
Another important thing, and this is about the display, is the inclusion of the notch. The renders show the notch hidden and hence the screen appears a bit conventional. The side bezels appear to be almost nonexistent and the chin is pretty small too. Overall, the design is modern and looks impressive.
So far, LG has given OLED displays to its V30 series while the G7 gets the IPS LCD. On that note, we would like to assume that the V40 might also get an OLED panel. It is a possibility that the V40 ThinQ will be unveiled on November 16 and so, there are few more months remaining before we finally see the real thing.
