The time of the year is slowly approaching when many big reveals and launches in the mobile phone industry take place. There are separate events as well as industry exhibitions where many gadget makers showcase their upcoming products and flaunt future technology. On that note, LG is going to announce the V30 smartphone on August 31. Apparently, it is one day before the IFA in Europe begins.
The V30 can be considered a flagship grade device given that the V20 packed quite a punch including premium audio experience with the capability to play high resolution music files. Based on a previous leak, it is believed that the upcoming ‘V’ device will be treated with company’s FullVision display (screen dominant display) with no physical key or button seen at the front as such. The fingerprint sensor can be expected at the back side.
The phone is said to feature a big screen measuring 6.2 inches and delivering a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The screen will remain an IPS LCD panel. Also, to match the latest trend, there will be a dual camera at the back with a pair of 13 mega-pixel lenses where the primary lens will have an aperture of f1.8 with OIS and auto focus while the secondary lens will keep it at f2.4.
The performance will be provided by the Snapdragon 835 processor with presumably 4 GB of RAM for the 64 GB storage version and 6 GB of RAM for the 128 GB storage version. Expectedly, the device will be B&O certified for its music quality and will support High-res music. Other features include USB-C port and Quick Charge 3.0. There’s no word on the battery capacity yet.
Given the date of August 31 for the announcement, it can be taken that the phone will be revealed in its full glory at IFA which is scheduled to start on September 1 and will go on for a week.
