LG has announced three smartphones under its new mid-range series Q, and they are Q6, Q6+ and Q6α where the Q6 is the standard mid-range device while the Q6+ will be its higher variant and the Q6α will be one step lower. Apparently, it is said that the Q6 is actually a replacement for the G6 Mini that LG was essentially planning earlier.

That said, the most prominent feature of the newly announced smartphones is the “FullVision” display that the company implemented in its flagship G6 model. It is primarily a screen dominant display with very thin real estate at the top and bottom of the phone. The South Korean company is looking to bring a premium experience to its mid-range devices.

However, the computing power will clearly be downgraded to keep the devices more affordable. The processor will be the Snapdragon 435 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage for the Q6 whereas the Q6+ and Q6α will get 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage and 2 GB RAM/16 GB storage combinations respectively.

The display will deliver the resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels on a 5.7 inches IPS LCD panel. It will also likely maintain the aspect ratio of 18:9 of the G6. Other interesting details include an aluminium frame for all the three devices as well as the flagship model’s facial recognition feature. A 13 mega-pixel rear camera and a 3,000mAh battery will be the shared hardware features too. These devices are expected to be launched first in Asia anytime next month followed by a larger release in other countries.
