The new display has the same width as the 5.5” panel on the last year’s iPhone 8 Plus, but the extra height is now a screen with a notch. The dual rear 12MP camera has been completely upgraded. The main wide-angle shooter has an all-new sensor with larger pixels. The aperture remains at f/1.8. The telephoto camera now uses a 12MP sensor, f/2.4 lens with 2x optical zoom.
The base model of the new iPhones will have 64GB, but the highest capacity is now 512GB to compete with Android flagships. The 256GB option is now the middle ground.
The phone now comes with dual sim. The nano sim and the embedded eSIM. The embedded SIM (eSIM) is used in addition to the single SIM slot to offer dual-SIM functionality. However, China will get a special model that actually has two physical SIM slots.
