Huawei’s new Mate series is in the leaks since a long time. The company was rumored to launch three smartphones under this series – Huawei Mate 20, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Huawei Mate 20 Lite. Out of the trio, the company has officially launched Huawei Mate 20 Lite.
Huawei Mate 20 Lite Price and Availability
The Huawei Mate 20 Lite has been launched in Poland. The handset is said to come in two variants – 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM. As of now, the 4GB RAM variant is available in Poland with a price tag of PLN 1,599 (approx. ₹30,600). It is available in three color options – Blue, Gold and Black. Further, the company hasn’t revealed anything about its global launch yet.
Huawei Mate 20 Lite Specifications and Features
The Huawei Mate 20 Lite is built around a 6.3 inches full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 2340×1080 pixels of resolution and 409ppi pixel density. The handset carries a notch and now it offers 81% screen-to-body ratio compared to 76.5% which we have seen on its predecessor.
Under the hood of the Huawei Mate 20 Lite is company’s proprietary Kirin 710 processor along with ARM Mali G5. This is very first chipset from Huawei which is built on 12nm processor which means it is more power efficient compared to the Kirin 659. It comes with 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD. Oh, one more thing, it also comes with GPU Turbo feature to enhance the performance while gaming.
Coming to what Huawei is basically known for, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite features dual rear camera setup – 20MP with f/1.8 aperture and 2MP. The company has also placed dual camera setup at the front – 24MP and 2MP. For security, it has face unlock and fingerprint sensor.
Talking about connectivity options, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite has NFC, USB Type-C, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth and 4G with VoLTE. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 and is backed by a 3,750mAh battery which supports fast charging. Further, the company is offering a smart scale (Huawei AH100) for free with this smartphone.
