Google is prepping for the release of its next mobile operating system, Android O, as it has very recently released the Developer Preview 4 of the same to the supported devices (that are required to be registered for the Developer program).
The Developer Preview 4 is basically a Release Candidate build of the Android O and it is intended for the App developers to fine tune their various applications for the public release of the OS later this year. Developers have been advised and are expected to ensure that their applications are absolutely optimized in this Developer Preview and devoid of any probable bugs that can be encountered in the regular usage of the apps.
The name of the upcoming OS has not been finalized yet, but it can be expected to be named after a dessert which is usually how Google does it. The final Preview is meant only for the following devices – Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus P, Nexus 5X and Nexus Player – and to get it the said devices have to be registered for the developer program as mentioned earlier.
Keep watching this space as we bring more updates on the Android O.
