Google Pixel smartphones have a niche market, sort of. By many, these devices are in fact considered the iPhones of the Android world. And in a way, it is quite right too. With the Pixels, Google is trying to build its own ecosystem, just like Apple has done, while continuing to keep the OS open.
The software giant is now prepping up the unveiling of its 3rd generation Pixel devices, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. In a latest update, the Pixel 3 XL has appeared in first live images thereby revealing the actual design in full.
With not much surprise, it sports a notch. While this is bad news for many people who already hate the notch, what’s worse is that the notch on the Pixel 3 XL is the deepest we have seen so far in smartphones. It is quite a prominent cut-out at the top. As you can see from the picture.
If this is a real test unit of the actual device, it confirms that there will be a single camera at the back, and not two. We are quit glad about that actually. Other than this, we expect that the 3.5 mm audio jack will remain absent from the Pixel 3 smartphones as well.
Keep watching this space for more information on this as well as on other upcoming smartphones in 2018.
