We are almost at the end of the first half of 2017 and knocking on the doors of the year’s second half. Apparently, the next six months are going to be the most exciting time for a smartphone enthusiast as we get near to the official reveals of the upcoming flagship from Google (among others), aptly called Pixel 2.

The phone will be expected to represent the pinnacle of Android software in its pure trim with no unnecessary customization and bloatware. Google has a lot riding on it. The Pixel 2 is likely to feature Android O with confirmed regular updates, better software optimization than ever before for better performance and battery life, and a drastically improved main camera as well.

One of the biggest highlights of the upcoming Google phone is said to be its all-screen front where the screen would occupy the most part similar to what we have seen on the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. If we are to believe the image above then the finger print sensor will be placed at the back. And it will be powered by the next gen Snapdragon 836 processor which is being developed on a 10nm process for excellent efficiency in performance. The camera will hover around the 16 mega-pixel mark with dual setup bringing it right into the latest trend that is catching up fast.

Google will officially unveil the Pixel 2 in October, right when the festive season starts! Expect it to be priced on par with the current Apple flagships.
