Google’s first Pixel devices are good but they received mixed reactions from the critics and the consumers alike. While the performance was nothing exemplary, the camera did get rave reviews and is still considered the one to beat (especially for devices with single lens camera). Now though, we are not too far away from the unveil of the upgraded Pixels in the form of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
In a latest, some images have arrived that are actually 3D renders of Pixel 2 and they show the device in three different colors which means that these could be the retail colors. Of course, it is a guess and will remain so until Google itself confirms the same.
The colors are Quite Black, Very Silver and Really Blue – interesting prefixes right there! Also, there is a fourth color as well – Red – in which the phone is shown in further two color combinations – Red/White and Red/Black.
The renders are pretty good and give an accurate representation of the handset if at all these colors become real. Also, Pixel 2 looks remarkably similar to the one it is going to replace which is likely how it is supposed to be as it is being looked as an upgrade (and not really an all-new device with completely different design).
Expect the phone to be remarkably better as far as the performance is concerned, however, we also expect Google to take the game ahead in terms of camera as well. It would be interesting to see how they do it with a single-lens camera when most of its competitors are now going for a dual camera setup. Also, so far it seems that the company doesn’t seem to mind the large top and bottom bezels.
